Four Key Areas • ACHIEVEMENT • NCLB, Ensuring challenging academics, Special Populations • TRANSITION • Aligning secondary/postsecondary, college academic preparation, articulated paths • OCCUPATIONAL PREPARATION • Alignment & support of programs to prepare for occupations In demand with “family supporting wage” • HIGH QUALITY PROGRAMS • Resource investment and monitoring criteria to assure local programs of sufficient size, scope and quality

  4. Ohio Response • Engagement of agency leadership – ODE & OBR • Development of a Revision to the State Plan for Career-Technical Education • Matrix aligned with Ohio’s Policy Advances & Critical Initiatives

  5. Aligning Local Planning • Letter of Intent to Extend Current Performance Plan – June 15th deadline • Plan update – electronically through the CCIP-CTAE grant application process
