  3. Demographics • 70% of the students come from smaller regional PUI colleges (PA, OH, NY, MD). • 30% of the students come from LSAMP intuitions (TX, FL, LA).

  4. High Performance Computing • 128-processors (Itanium-2) SGI Altix • 740 GB memory and 30 TB fast disk • Quantum mechanics • 128 Quad-Core (Xeon) processors • 256 GB memory and 20 TB fast disk • Molecular dynamics • 24 Pentium-D Processors • 2 GB memory and 250 GB disk • User workstations
