  2. Photographs are one of the most prized possessions and they are a way to keep your old memories alive. These treasured memories stored in photo slides or negatives are prone to deterioration over the years. They are likely to be stored in closets, attics, basements or storage lockers and over time the photographs can get damaged. However, document scanning services can help in photo restoration and store the photographs in digital format. Converting your slides to digital images allows you to safeguard the old photographs using modern technology. This is the age of digitization and advanced technology and today we have digital photos, digital cameras, DSLR etc. Although there are some photographers who still prefer capturing photographs in analog format, most of them now own digital cameras or smart phones that let you capture digital photos. With huge volumes of digital photos, sometimes people find it difficult to store these digital photos in their devices. Large volumes of photos can be stored in cloud storage system and it ensures safety of the photographs too. Uploading Photos into a Cloud Storage System Photographs and videos taken using a smartphone can be stored in the cloud easily. If you are an Android or iOS user, there are many apps and built-in features in these systems to upload videos or photographs. Apple users have iCloud Photo Library to store your photographs and videos. If you own a Windows Phone, for instance, your images can be automatically synced to your Microsoft SkyDrive. Apart from these apps, there are a few more options like Google Photos, Dropbox, OneDrive and Flickr. You can also store photos in Facebook but it doesn’t support automatic uploading of photos and videos. Uploading photographs from a digital camera into the cloud is slightly different. The photos taken using SLR are of huge volume. As the resolution increases, the volume also increases. If you have a high-speed Internet connection that isn’t metered, then you can just drop all the files into one of your cloud synced folders and everything will be uploaded. If you are in the Apple ecosystem, you will need to use the Photos app in OS X to import the media into your iCloud Photo Library. To store raw and super high definition photos you can use external or network storage that is attached locally. www.managedoutsource.com (800) 670 2809

  4. •Click on Upload photos or videos. •Tap the photos and videos that you want to upload to Dropbox. •Tap Upload in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. Flickr: Flickr offers free storage. However, you have a limit at 300MB of data per month. Based on the size of the files your camera creates, that could be less than 100 images. Flickr also lets you display a maximum of 200 pictures for public viewing. Amazon Glacier: Set up an Amazon AWS account and you back up the huge files to Amazon Glacier. This is a paid cloud storage service. A useful feature of a service like Amazon Glacier is that you can save huge volumes of data onto an external hard drive and ship it to Amazon. They will copy the data to their server locally, which frees you from having to upload all that data over your home Internet connection. So there are many apps to store photographs and a combination of two three apps and cloud storage service will help you store your photographs in the best possible way. Raw images and 4K footages can be stored in external storage devices. Cloud storage systems allow you to store enormous amounts of data. You can access your treasured photographs from anywhere at any time. Digital photos are easier to preserve when compared to analog format photographs. When there is large volume old and valuable photos you want to protect, contact an experienced document conversion services provider that can help scan and restore old photos. www.managedoutsource.com (800) 670 2809
