  3. Why Emily? • Teach students properly at an early age • Decrease violence in later years • Students don’t necessarily learn manners at home • Multiple characters to prevent discrimination in the classroom • Entertainment!

  4. Interactive Media Program The interactive media program was the first material developed for EWE and it consists of three parts to best teach students in a fun program. • Tips with Emily (Attendance, Tardiness, Disruptive Behavior, Sharing, and Cheating) • Etiquette with Emily Mini-Game (Disruptive Behavior, Cheating, Bullying, Helping Others) • Emily’s Exam (10 Questions Over Material) At the end of the program the student graduates with a certificate and a certain amount of Golden Coins depending on their performance during the three parts of EWE.

  5. Interactive Media Program • Classrooms will have access to Emily’s CDROM • Time can be taken out daily to introduce technology to students who do not have home computers • In order for Emily to be successful she should be folded into class work (mentioned in quizzes/lectures) • Golden Coins can be traded in for homework passes or free school supplies

  6. Interactive Media Program Some of material that appears in EWEmily’sCDRom consists of: • When it’s okay to miss class • Appropriate times to sharpen your pencil • Raising your hand when answering questions • Sharing school supplies • Copying homework from others • Checking out books from the school library

  7. Children’s Book Series • Parents and teachers are encouraged to become involved with EWE Stories by submitting their ideas to www.EWEmily.com • Emily steps out of the classroom into her neighborhood to play with her classmates • Darrel’s Dilemma is the first installment to the series • Darrel’s Dilemma teaches body image to students while also promoting diversity • Darrel discovers that his arms have changed drastically overnight and needs to adapt to his recent changes. Emily steps in to encourage Darrel as well as stick up for him when the rest of the neighborhood kids are terrified of his appearance. Emily’s Cartoon: Adventures with Emily • EWE can be created into a cartoon series similar to Dora the Explorer on Disney • Instead of going over the same material in the CDROM and in the book series Emily can go on adventures involving her school. • Field Trips • Classroom Parties • School Dances • Science Fairs • Talent Shows • Holidays at School • Etc. I need a designer! I want to be more than a floating head!!!

EWEmily on YouTube • Emily’s Journal on YouTube will act as a personal video diary for Emily • Students can watch these after their favorite episode of Emily on TV or whenever they please • She will give inside information about her feelings toward school, friends, and family • By creating Emily’s Journal Emily’s fans will want to grow up with her in their lives since they will be watching her mature over the web entries
