  2. If you read this, chances are your kids are crazy about Japanese comic books and animation. They likely beg you to buy them the next book or DVD you've never heard of. "What's happening here?!" you may wonder to yourself. "We are Americans! Why do my children love this stuff in Japanese?"Visit: mangadao Hopefully I can help make the appeal of Japanese comics somewhat sense. I am a comic book artist and Manga fan who spent 2 years living in Japan. My wife is Japanese and after having trained for many years I would tell I'm pretty decent at using the language. I'll try my utmost to clarify whether you're a mom or maybe someone involved in what all the talk is about. Firstly, the term Manga means Japanese comic novel. Some Manga are much smaller in scale than American comic books but the length of each story would be about 200 pages a story relative to our 24-32. This large books of comics are brought out in Japan every month! You typically get one main artist who receives full billing with the penciled and inked illustration (and the story writing too) so don't get fooled.

  3. Every month, it would be impossible for a single person to do all the work on a 200 page comic book. Trust me, I know I am a comic artist myself. Throughout Japan, several Manga-ka (comic book artists) have many assistants associated for them. They normally take charge of inking panels and painting backgrounds for all pages. Click here: action manga Before I lived in Japan I thought Japanese comic artists would never sleep! I didn't know they usually have at one time between 3-5 assistants. Yeah, they do have to work hard to maintain schedule, but they aren't the machines I assumed they were once! Why did their comic books run so long? Manga is intended to be read as a short relief from real life. I was shocked to see so many Japanese entrepreneurs reading Manga on the way from work on the tracks. Students reading Manga during college (I know some of you consider it hard to believe!). Usually the stories focus on dynamic action, drama or off-beat humour.

  4. I feel really strange living in a community where all is going well and people are adamant about upholding the laws and loving everyone. In a place where what is good for the group is better than what is good for an individual, reading Manga appeared to be one thing people could do just to please themselves. People of all ages in Japan from 7 to 87 years old read comic books. The reports about comic books are much more imaginative than what's presented in America.
