  1. Camano Administration Building Island County Facilities Management Construction Update October 9, 2019

  2. Construction Mobilization and Site Preparation Faber Construction has fully mobilized and is underway preparing the site for the placement of building footings. Visitors to the site will find an amended parking plan with customer parking residing to the West side of the site outside of the site fencing. The Contractor has included a temporary ADA space with ramps and walkways leading to the entrance of the Annex Building. The Annex will be open for business throughout construction.

  3. Building permitting has been completed and the majority of construction submittals have been approved through the Architect. Forming of footings and foundation work is scheduled to commence the week of October 7, 2019. View of the Camano Construction site looking from South to North.   6. With Elections and Tax Season nearly upon us, Facilities Management is working towards improving the parking and paving between the Family Resource Center and the new Administration Building. The Voters Ballot Drop-Box has been moved from the Annex next to the Family Resource Center near the tennis courts and we are working with partner departments to improve parking lot striping. Campus asphalt replacement is expected to occur 2020. View looking north to the Camano Family Resource Center. Removal and replacement of old paving will improve parking, pedestrian safety and drainage. Re-located Voters ballot drop box now residing on the east –side of the camano health care center.
