  1. Proprietary Trader A stock trader or proprietary trader acts as the financial manager to a prospect investor and tries to add value to the client’s money. Adding value to the stock or investment of a client is just a part of the stock trader's business. A proprietary trader buys stocks as well. They buy stocks, hold stock for a long time and sell those stocks or shares when the value reaches its peak. This is a long term investment that needs serious analysis and involves greater risks. A stock or share is a share of a company’s total capital and people who buy a stock or share become partial owners of the company. The higher percentage of the stock or share you have, the more stakes you have in and more control on the company's activities as well.
