  2. Pink Floyd is an English rock band, who plays progressive rock and psychedelic music. Distinguished by their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, and elaborate live shows, they are one of the most successful and musically influential groups in the history of popular music. Who is Pink Floyd?

  3. David Gilmour • David was one of the guitarist and lead singer of Pink Floyd. He is also a song writer for the band.

  4. Syd Barrett • Syd was the lead guitarist and main song writer for Pink Floyd during the psychedelic years of the band. He was also one of the main founders of the band.

  5. Rodger Waters • Rodger is a song writer, co-lead vocalist and bassist in Pink Floyd, he was also one of the main founders of the band.

  6. Richard Wright • Richard was a keyboardist, singer and song writer in Pink Floyd.

  7. Nick Mason • Nick was the drummer for the band, and he was also the most consistent member of the band. He was also a song writer.

They both have received a Diamond award for selling over 10 million copies. They've had numerous #1 albums, and a #1 single. Pink Floyd has three albums in the Top 100 bestselling ever Dark Side, The Wall, and Wish You Were Here. They are the 9th bestselling artist ever selling over 52.6 million records. Dark Side was on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart for a record 736 weeks. It also has the record for most consecutive weeks, with over 500. In fact they changed the rules because of it when it finally dropped off the charts in 1988, 14 years after it went on.
