Introducción a las redes WAN • Características: • Conectan dispositivos que están separados por áreas geográficas extensas • Utilizan los servicios de proveedores de telecomunicaciones tales como las empresas operativas Regional Bell (RBOC), Sprint, MCI y VPM Internet Services Inc. • Usan conexiones seriales de diversos tipos para acceder al ancho de banda a través de áreas geográficas extensas.
