Important Academic Facts • A minimum of a “D-” is required to earn credits towards graduation. • A passed class earns 5 credits each semester & 10 credits for the year. • 4 year colleges require a minimum of “C”, for A-G classes. • Failed classes earn no credits, but are calculated in the GPA as a Zero and remain on the transcript. • Credits earned outside Prospect only go on the transcript if needed to graduate (i.e.; community college…)

17. Testing Timeline • Sophomore year: • Take PSAT 10 in Spring 2018. • Junior year: • PSAT in October for National Merit Scholarships. • SAT Reasoning Test/ACT: Spring 2019. • AP tests in May 2019. SAT Subject tests in June. • Senior year: • SAT/ACT- in Fall 2019 if you need to improve your scores. • Re-take SAT Subject tests if you would like to improve. • AP tests in May 2020.

19. What is CSF? CSF motto is "Scholarship through Service“ www.csf-cjsf.org California Scholarship Federation (CSF) emphasizes high standards of service, scholarship, and citizenship for California high school students. CSF Membership is based on scholarship and is gained after qualifying grades are earned each semester. In order to become a member, the student must submit an application each semester the student is eligible. A point system specified in the CJSF State By-Laws establishes the membership requirements.
