  5. Stereotype or Prejudice? In September 2005, during a benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina relief on NBC, Kanye West deviated from his prepared script. While his co-presenter, Mike Myers, continued to read the script, this is what happened…

  6. West said "George Bush doesn't care about black people." The telethon producer cut off the microphone and cut away to Chris Tucker. Still, West's comment reached much of the United States. President Bush stated in an interview that the comment was "one of the most disgusting moments” of his presidency.
