  1. Orsaker till Fattigdom • Kolonisationen av Afrika och Asien påverkade negativt. • Nykolonialism: Export av billiga råvaror, import av dyra industrivaror. • Länderna tog stora lån som skulle gå till utveckling men användes till annat i diktaturerna. Nu måste man betala av lånen.

  2. Länderna saknar kapital (pengar) för att starta industrier, t.ex. oljeraffinaderier. • Rika länders handelshinder t.ex. EUs tullar. • Brist på utbildad arbetskraft som kan starta industrier och företag. (Brain-drain) • Diktatur och demokratier som inte fungerar. • Krig. • Katastrofer: svält, aidsepidemi.
