What is ArtsWave? With contributions from tens of thousands of donors, ArtsWave supports more than 100 arts organizations that make our region a great place to live.
At ArtsWave, we believe that the arts create two major impacts on our region: •A Vibrant, Regional Economy •A More Connected Community
Vibrant, Regional Economy Extraordinary Cultural Experiences Over 35,000 people packed Washington Park for LumenoCity, a unique concert featuring the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and other arts groups.
Vibrant, Regional Economy Cultural Clusters The Fitton Center for Creative Arts in Hamilton welcomes 55,000 community members annually, creating an uptick in sales for surrounding businesses
Vibrant, Regional Economy Arts Education The Taft Museum of Art brings professional artists to 12 area high schools to help students create a public art exhibition, creating “life-long learning experiences.”
A More Connected Community Arts-Focused Community Gatherings Kentucky Symphony Orchestra attracts 21,000 visitors to its free summer concerts in Devou Park. These are family events: 37% attend with multiple generations.
A More Connected Community Art-Making Opportunities for Amateurs 98% of May Festival Chorus members report new and lasting relationships. 92% report that their involvement in the chorus is part of why they stay in the region.
A More Connected Community Arts Engagement Across the Region Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park’s “Off the Hill” brings live theatre to 30 neighborhoods across the region
