  3. Winning souls is a process • Planting, watering and cultivating all precede reaping • Be willing and ready to contribute to any stage of the process • Help people to take the next step as opposed to forcing a superficial conversion Very against Against Open Ready

  4. How can we start? • Show acts of kindness • Sharing of testimony • Relate to current/world news • Biblical prophecies • Life and death • Tri-partite nature of man • Blood sacrifices • Use a tract

  5. The Gospel Message God’s Position: A loving holy God who desires all men to know Him (Jn 3:16) Man’s Condition: sin prevents man from knowing God (Rom 3:23)

  6. The Gospel Message God’s Provision: the blood of Jesus brings forgiveness of sins and paves the way for man to know God (Rom 5:8) Man’s Decision: man has to personally accept Christ as Saviour & Lord (Rev 3:20)

  7. Sealing the decision Dear Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. Please forgive me of all my sins. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Cleanse me with your precious blood. I invite you to come into my life. Lead and guide me from this day onwards to follow in your ways. Amen.

  8. Tips for witnessing • Pray for the lost Because He poured out His soul unto death, and He was numbered with the transgressors, and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Is 53:12 NKJ Jesus prayed for Peter

Tips for witnessing • Pray for God’s wisdom 12 You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. 13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. 14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.Lk 21:12-15 NKJ

Tips for witnessing • Build bridges by showing love 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Jn 13:34-35 NKJ Avoid being contentious or judgmental

Tips for witnessing • Ask for the gifts of the Holy Spirit • Word of knowledge • Prophecy • Healing “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” 1 Cor 2:4-5 NKJ

  12. Handling negative responses • Ground is still very hard; need more work and prayers • Parable of the sower indicates that only ¼ would be fruitful “He who hears you hears Me, he who rejects you rejects Me, and he who rejects Me rejects Him who sent Me.” Lk 10:16 NKJ
