  1. Class: Crustacea Subclass: Copepoda Order: Eucopepoda Suborder:Cyclopoida Eucyclops speratus (Lilljeborg) Description: Plate 018a. Abdomen, caudal rami and setae of Eucyclops speratus. Plate 018b. Caudal rami of Eucyclops speratus. A cyclopoid copepod of between 1.0 – 1.6 mm. Found in shallow water, not common but widespread in N.A. Caudal ramus usually more than 5 times as long as broad, lateral spinules very small; lateral spine on caudal rami ¾ distance from last segment of abdomen.
