The gaming industry is booming at a rate that few would have anticipated a few years ago. In fact, the relationship between mobile applications design as a platform and the users thereof is a cycle in itself. As more and more games and applications are brought into the market, the more it is that users clamor for in the form of applications and games. But the underlying factor is that gamers enjoy the applications as much if not more than the game developers themselves as they design and innovate. Email Us: contact@syncinteractive.co.uk

  2. The world of game developers is as intricate and exciting, if not more, than the games that they design and develop. The exposure to mobile games is so high that it’s not surprising that game developers are not your typical coffee sipping and cubicle enclosed individual. More often than not, it is the kids that are still at high school or individuals working out of their basements and garages. And they are all driven by a common goal and objective, which is why the basic and underlying factors that they operate out of is also common. 1.Platform– The premise here is simple. If your users would rather play a game on a console or a PC then you have to have a very good strategy (read: reason) why you are working on a mobile version. 2.Artwork – When designing your game, it is smart to remember that the resolution of a mobile phone and that of an LED screen is more than just marginal. So make sure that your artwork is just about enough, else you’ll soon have users complain of the gaming sucking up their phone’s RAM or storage. 3.Audio – Just like artwork, sound can bloat the size of your game to the point that users will start complaining in the first few seconds itself. And of course there’s the quality of the sound itself. Moderation is the key and the balance between just enough for a good gaming experience and not drying up the device’s memory. While designing an application, game developers must never forget that it is the first few handful of people who will actually experience the game you created. If they like it, you will know from the reviews and ratings that they put up. But if they don’t, you will not be kept in the dark either. Today’s consumer is brutal and can make or break manufacturers without a second thought. So plan your strategy with great care and stay focused!
