  10. The flag for El Salvdor was inspired by the Federal Republic of Central America. They have dos flags one has the coat of arms and the other has “DIOS UNION LIBERTAD” written on it. One of the flags are used for civil purposes. The actual blue and white stripes in flag are based on the importance of añil exports, añil was commonly used as a source for indigo dye. It was adopted in March 17, 1912 . The color on the flag is blue(azul) and white( blanco).

THE FLAG FIELD WAS CHANGED FROM RED TO BLUE. BELOW THE STAR THE DATE WAS REPRESENTING NORTH CARLOINAS SESSION FOR UNION. THE COLORS ON THE FLAG ARE BLUE (AZUL) ,RED (ROJO)AND WHITE (BLANCO)!!
