NEW TEACHING METHODS/LEARNING METHODS (3) • LEARNING/STUDY METHODS TO BE THOROUGHLY HIGHLIGHTED DURING 1ST DAY OF UNIT • ALLOW TIME TO ADAPT • WORK ON SLOW LEARNERS, ENGAGE AND WORK OUT STRATEGIES (helps both the student and lecturer) • DISCUSS EXAM QUESTIONS IN CLASS AND WHAT SORT OF RESPONSE IS REQUIRED • DO NOT TEACH/ FACILITATE

Achieving quality student admission • Psychometric testing before admission • Interview of all students before admission + emotional readiness to understake medical studies • Higher cut-off mark (300+) to ensure quality and higher retention • Maximum student intake : 70-80 students admitted per year into MBBS program and graduating number is 20-30 • 14 staff teaching 34 units to 274 MBBS students • Quantity right now favoured instead of quality • How good are our own graduates at marketing UPSM/UOF?   8. CONCLUSION • PROBLEMS ARE MANY • FINANCE • AT THE END OF THE DAY, AN EDUCATED EMPLOYED SOCIETY IS THE BEST OF ALL OF THEM • WE CAN SIT HERE DISCUSS WHOLE DAY BUT ACTION IS REQUIRED
