  2. CCISD Technology Clear Creek ISD recognizes that technology plays an exponentially increasing role in both the instruction and the operations side of the school district.

Technology Mission • …to develop students who will lead the way to the future by educating and equipping them with skills necessary to excel in the 21st Century through a comprehensive curricular facilitated by a highly qualified team committed to courage, collaboration, Innovation, and self-direction.

CCISD’s Technology Department serves 26 Elementary schools, 10 Intermediate schools, and 8 High Schools, as well as the Educational Support Center • Over 19,000 laptops for students • 24,000 computers in the District • 2 network ports per classroom • Over 100 Servers (HP Proliant) • Virtual Servers • All buildings are wireless • Offsite storage and disk backup

  6. 2010-2013 Technology Plan • Fiber network • Upgraded Student Information System • Electronic Grade book • Upgraded Distance Learning • Point Sale System for Food Services • Centralized Phone System • Classroom Projection Device • Network Cabling • Student Notebooks and Desktops

At Present • WAN and LAN • Pilot program of small groups allowing staff to bring personal devices and use on District Network • Replace computers over 6 years old for new desktops • Teaching Safe Digital Citizenship to students • Filters blocking inappropriate content • At present the District is equalizing campuses with projection devices and document cameras.

  8. Management Systems • Use Google.docs for content management as it is free • Use Forethought in Eduphoria for workshop management • E4-Blackboard SMS • Blackboard Phone Communication System-synchronized student communication

Future Expectations • Market and expand e4 CMS • Unified communications increased • Safe network-collaboration 24/7 • Virtual Classrooms • One to one computing • CCISD initialization project • Move all curriculum to LMS • Administrators Handheld Mobility Project • Blackboard Communication • Wireless N upgrades
