  1. This presentation will probably involve audience discussion, which will create action items. Use PowerPoint to keep track of these action items during your presentation • In Slide Show, click on the right mouse button • Select “Meeting Minder” • Select the “Action Items” tab • Type in action items as they come up • Click OK to dismiss this box • This will automatically create an Action Item slide at the end of your presentation with your points entered. Status Summary • Manufacturer Report due to CIWMB on or before 7.01.05 and annually thereafter. • Reports based on Calendar year 2004. • December Emergency Regulations added sections due to changes in SB 50 • Who Reports: • Manufacturer of Covered Devices sold in CA • Brand name sold in CA, even if made by another manufacturer.

Report Submission • Formats) • CD in MS Word or Excel • Hardcopy (double sided, please) • Send completed reports to: • California Integrated Waste Management Board Attention: Electronic Waste Recycling Program MS #12 1001 I Street, P.O. Box 4025 Sacramento, CA 95812-4025 • E-mail to ewaste@calepa.ca.gov • Return receipt requested is suggested

  5. Report Requirements(see Ca. Title 14 18660.41-2) • Regulations provide specific outline details as required by SB 20/50 • 2 Options for Submission • Individual Manufacturer • Collective report • Only Sales and Materials reporting is done as a collective or group info. • Other report requirements are individual manufacturer info attached.

  6. Deliverables Outlined in Regulations- Individual Reports • Contact information of Manufacturer and/or Brand name • Sales for 2004 • By 3 Screen Sizes listed in SB 20/50 • By Product Category listed in regulation 18660.5(a)(23) • Explain methodology of how the sales numbers were calculated.

Individual Plan (cont.) • Materials reporting • Average amounts by Product Category • Report in milligrams of Mercury, Cadmium, Lead, Hexavalent Chromium (include any in alloys or compounds) and PBBs. • Explain Methodology use to calculate • Recyclable Content • List tons of Recyclable content contain in all products sold in CA • List increase from previous year • Explain methodology use to estimate

Individual Report (cont.) • Design for Recycling • Narrative on Current and Future activities to make recycling easier • List of Retailers noticed pursuant to PRC Sec. 42465.2 (a)(1)(E) • Includes contact info of retailers • List of covered products contained in notice • Samples of Consumer Information • Required by PRC sec. 42465.2 (b) • Describes how and where to return, recycle and dispose of CEDs

Collective Reporting • Third party or Group can submit information in aggregate average amounts for only: • Sales information • Materials Reporting • Same rules as Individual reports • Must attach a list of all participating Manufacturers • Certify under penalty of perjury that information is True and Correct.

  10. Exemptions • Products that comply with RoHS provision, eligible • Must be certified by DTSC as compliant with RoHS • See PRC sec. 42465.2 (b) for details
