  3. Hard Drive • is a non-volatile storage device for digital data. • It features one or more rotating rigid platters on a motor-driven spindle within a metal case. • Data is encoded magnetically by read/write heads that float on a cushion of air above the platters. • 2TB – 7200RPM – 3GB/s

  4. Memory • Is a form of computer data storage • It’s Volatile • information is lost after the power is switched off • DRAM, e.g. DDR SDRAM • SRAM • 16 GB 1333MHz DDR3

  5. Motherboard • motherboard is the central printed circuit board (PCB) in many modern computers • It holds many of the crucial components of the system while providing connectors for other peripherals. • P7P55D-E Pro

  6. Power Supply • A power supply unit (PSU) is the component that supplies power to the other components in a computer. • More specifically, a power supply unit is typically designed to convert general-purpose alternating current to Direct current • 1200 Watt Modular

  7. Monitor • An electronic visual display for computers. • Needed if you wish to have a visual display. • 3x 23” 1920x1080 & 3D Vision Kit

  8. Video Card • An expansion card whose function is to generate output images to a display. • Mainly needed for gaming, or video editing. • Has separate memory and processor specifically for video images. • 2x Radeon 5970 (2GB)

  9. Sound Card • A computer expansion card that facilitates the input and output of audio signals to and from a computer under control of computer programs. • Sound card are needed to have I/O for audio. • Using a microphone to talk through the computer(Input) • Using speakers to hear audio files(Output). • X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty Campion

  10. Speakers • These are speakers that are external to the computer. • Often have an internal amplifier. • Needed as output device for audio from the computer. • Logitech Z-523 2.1 40 Watt Speakers

  11. Optical Disk Drive(ODD) • Disk drive that uses laser light or magnetic waves to read or write optical discs. • Read- Obtain the information stored on the disc. • Write- Store information onto a disc. • Practical uses • CD Player/Recorder • DVD Player/Recorder • Blu-Ray Player/Recorder • 10x Blu-Ray Reader

  12. Media Reader • It is part of a computer and can be a port. • Reads memory cards from (digital cameras, cellphone, and etc.) • Various brands of memory cards works with media readers • Internal Media Reader

  13. Networking Card • Network card is an expansion card installed in computer and enables computer to connect to a local area network. • To go onto internet, computer needs to be connected to network. • Extreme N USB

  14. Keyboard & Mouse • Keyboard and mouse are input device • Keyboard enables you to enter data and instructions into the computer. • Mouse(optical/trackball) sends signals to the computer, telling where to move the pointer on screen. • Logitech Gaming Accessories

  15. Operating System • Operating System is a software that manages hardwares of the computer system (ex. Monitor and the printer) and softwares. - Users can interact with the computer.

  16. RAID Controller • Redundant Array of In expensive disk. • Technology which can be used to speed up transferring data and provide redundancy through sdisk system fault tolerance. • since it can brings the same data from several places, computer is FASTER and more stable. • RAID 1 Automatic HDD Backup
