  5. # !! & !! ? % @ * & ? % @ Dirty Words In The Church House * #

  6. There are some words that seem to have become offensive to us in the church.

  7. Dirty word #1HELL

  8. We should always step back and take pause when there is a Biblical word we don’t want to use.

  9. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might besaved through Him. (John 3:16-17)

  10. He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

  11. Verses Bell uses: For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11)

  12. Doesn’t even fit with context of Philippians – • in no way alarmed by your opponents– which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God. (Philippians1:28)

  13. Does God always get what He wants? This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.(ITimothy 2:3-4)

  14. Gehenna – trashdump or just awful experiences of this life?

  15. Let’s just go back and look at scripture:

  16. “But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing,’ shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.”(Matthew 5:22)

  17. Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled and said to those who were following, “Truly I say to you, I have not found such great faith with anyone in Israel. I say to you that many will come from east and west, and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into the outer darkness; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”(Matthew 8:10-12)

  18. Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28)

  19. “and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age; and the reapers are angels. So just as the tares are gathered up and burned with fire, so shall it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”(Matthew 13:39-42)

  21. So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(Matthew 13:49-50)

  22. So it will be at the end of the age; the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.(Matthew 13:49-50)

  23. The evidence is overwhelming! Matthew 18:8-9 Matthew 25:29-30 Matthew 25:41-46

  24. Does Matthew fit with what we are being sold?

  25. Why are we having trouble with the word? We have been influenced by the culture of tolerance. Some of us have reacted to our past. Our uncomfortability with God at times.

  26. A balancedresponse to the teaching: • (II Corinthians 5:14-20) • For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.

  27. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.

  28. We’re not afraid of the word hell because we know what Goddidaboutit!
