Bandwidth • As discussed in the past the BW of each sub-band does not have to be related to the separation between the center frequencies and is actually defined by the pulse shape • The only requirement comes from FCC and is to have a 10 dB bandwidth greater than 500 MHz • Wisair suggest to change its proposal to reflect a 500 MHz BW for the signal.   3. Margin to 3.1 and 4.9 • The requirements on the margin to 3.1 and 4.9 is not equal from two reasons: • RF filter implementation with a given Q is frequency dependent therefore it is easier to filter the 3.1 corner than the 4.9 corner • The co-existence requirements to/from WLAN are tougher than FCC indoor/outdoor requirements therefore more room should be given at the 4.9 corner Gadi Shor, Sorin Goldenberg (Wisair)

  4. PLL implementation • It is important that the first divisions in a PLL implementation will be small (preferably two division by 2) • The frequency plan suggested by Wideband Access requires a first division by 5 for the 19.2 MHz XO Gadi Shor, Sorin Goldenberg (Wisair)

  5. PRF flexibility • Wisair’s proposal allows selection between: 11, 22, 33, 66 MHz while still allowing a first division by 4 • The Wideband Access proposal allows a PRF of 13 if we use a first division by 4 or 26 if we use a first division by 2 followed by a second division by 67 (for the 3484).   6. PRF and peak power • The estimation provided so far does not take into account losses between the component and the antenna: • Internal/external filter, • Packaging • Routing • It is important to support higher PRFs to allow taking the full advantage of FCC rules (even if we select a lower PRF as the base mode) Gadi Shor, Sorin Goldenberg (Wisair)
