  2. Schedule – Day 3 • COOL FACTS: • The Large Billed Puffin (also known as the Atlantic Puffin) looks like a clown of the sea. • It breeds in colonies on rocky islands in the North Atlantic and winters at sea. • They live at sea most of their lives. • They fly through the air like most birds, but they also "fly" through the water, using their wings as paddles. • As they swim, they use their webbed feet to steer, much as a boat uses a rudder. Doug liked the architecture, disliked the isolation- being new, heat, strict rules, principal calling himself “Principal Peattie,” He spoke like the principal, saying “Doug Swieteck has a question.” And was concerned about only being able to use the bathroom 3 times; then excused himself to use the bathroom. Kids all laughed. Mr. Ferris was inspirational, speaking about the space age. 3. It was robbed. They suspected Doug’s brother, but Doug knew he couldn’t have done it because he was home all night. He saw his father beat up his brother, saw his brother’s terrified eye, and felt empathy. 4. Horizontal rather than vertical like the terns, no movement, flat lines, triangles, solid 5.
