  2. What’s your dad’s name? • God – Genesis 1:1 • I AM/Yahweh – Exodus 3:13-14 • Abba/Father – Galatians 4:6 • El Elyon/Most High – Psalm 7:17 • El Shaddai/God Almighty – Psalm 91:1

  3. Does your dad want you to go for the same sports team as him? • Father God wants us on His team and His team alone • Joshua declared that all His house was for God – Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”

  4. What is something your dad has taught you? • God teaches us so much through His Word (2 Tim 3:16) • God created the world – Genesis • God still loves the world – John 3:16 • Wisdom is the best thing we can ask for – Proverbs • God deserves all praise and glory – Psalms • God is still in control even when is doesn’t look like it – Job • We need God’s grace and forgiveness – Romans • Faith is vital - Hebrews

How Does it make you feel when dad says he loves you? • 1 John 3:1 ~ See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! • Psalm 86:5 ~ You, Lord, are forgiving and good,    abounding in love to all who call to you. • Romans 5:8 ~ But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  6. Do you always listen to dad and do what he says? • Ephesians 6:1-3 • Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”

  7. Does it make you sad when dad tells you off? • Proverbs 3:11-12 • My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,    and do not resent his rebuke,because the Lord disciplines those he loves,    as a father the son he delights in

  8. Do you feel safe when daddy is around? • Joshua 1:9 ~ Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” • Isaiah 41:10 ~ So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

  9. What do you think when mum and dad kiss at home? • Ephesians 5:22-33 teaches us that God wants husbands and wives to show love and respect to one another.

  10. What is your favourite thing to do with your dad? • Father God wants to spend time with us • Matthew 6:33 – seek first the kingdom of God • James 4:8 – draw near to God and He will draw near to you • John 15 – stay connected to the vine • Psalm 91:1 – whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty
