Europe a focus on the Medieval. July 2015 Join us!!. In 2015 we will fly from Newark to Brussels, Belgium. We will stay in the Medieval town of Bruges ( Brugge ) for two nights. Bruges is a completely intact Medieval town whose beauty is amazing. Dusk at the Marketplatz in Bruges.

  2. In 2015 we will fly from Newark to Brussels, Belgium.We will stay in the Medieval town of Bruges (Brugge) for two nights.

  3. Bruges is a completely intact Medieval town whose beauty is amazing.

  8. Bruges is known as the “Venice of the North” due to its extensive canal system.

  9. Canals everywhere!

  11. The canals lead to a serene lake.

  12. During Medieval Times, widows of the Crusades lived in areas like this, called the Beguinage.

  13. Reminders of the Crusades and Saints abound in Bruges.

  14. This castle is actually a Bed and Breakfast in Bruges!

  15. Handmade lace is a specialty of Bruges.

  16. Chocolate is also a specialty of Belgium

  17. Next Stop: Paris! We will stay in Paris for three nights.

  22. Then it’s on to Strasbourg, on the German border. We will stay here for two nights.

  26. Day trip to Riquewihr. This is an intact Medieval town.

  27. Riquewihr is also on the German border. It is on the list of “The Most Beautiful Villages of France”

Did you know…? • A 3 night/4 day trip to Disney is about $1200. • This trip to Belgium & France will be a 9 day trip. • Breakfast and dinner will be included for every day of the trip. • A meeting notice will be sent home in mid-November with the date of the interest meeting. • Consider having the trip deposit be part of your holiday (Hanukkah/Christmas) gift!

General Information • This Power Point will be posted on my teacher website, if you would like to show your parents. • There will be an interest meeting in late November or early December. • We will do extensive fundraising. • Individual fundraising sales will benefit you as an individual to help you pay for your trip. The more you sell/work, the more you make for you.
