  1. 4-H & Schools Sub-Team Holli Campbell – Broomfield County, Chair Janice Dixon – Morgan County Ashlee Adams – Denver County

  2. Goals & Objectives Short Term Create three 4-H K-12 Activity Sheets to be posted to both the Extension Clean Energy and 4-H K-12 web sites. Create copy for the Clean Energy web site for the 4-H Youth / Schools section. Link to other 4-H or Extension activities for youth that are already in existence. In addition, explore the possibility of creating our own web page for Clean Energy for Youth

  3. Goals & Objectives Short Term – continued Research what other states and eXtension are currently doing in the area of Clean Energy for Youth.

  4. Goals & Objectives Long Term Develop Clean Energy Activity Kits that would be available from County Extension Offices for teachers, after school providers, etc… to check out. Each kit would contain all of the necessary materials and the step-by-step instructions for a teacher or after school provider to easily complete a Clean Energy activity with their students.

  5. Goals & Objectives Long Term – continued Develop training for 4-H Agents and Volunteer Leaders (internal audience) that can be in short, workshop-type offerings at various events such as State 4-H Conference, CAE4-HA professional development conference or during Forum work team time.

  6. Goals & Objectives Long Term – continued Work with Colorado Afterschool Network (CAN), Colorado Alliance for Quality School-Age Programs (CAQSAP) and Denver Quality Afterschool Connection (DQAC) to provide training to teachers and afterschool providers in the areas of Clean Energy. Possibly partner with Solar Energy International (SEI) and other non-profits to provide additional teacher training. May be able to work with the Science Teacher’s fall meeting to present workshops as well.

  7. Goals & Objectives Long Term – continued Attend 4-H SET Pre-conference at the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents meeting in October.

  8. Goals & Objectives - Progress Short-term • Three Activity Sheets are in the process of being created – will be available by end of October. • A draft “cover page” for a Clean Energy for Youth web site has been created. • Research is on-going. Long-term • One team member will be attending the pre-conference at NAE4-HA in October.
