  2. Daily Geography • Organization! • In order to be successful, we have to be ORGANIZED!!! • Please take the next 10 minutes to make sure that • 1. Your notes are in the correct pages of your notebook • 2. You have pasted/stapled the notes you’ve been given in class are IN YOUR NOTEBOOK!!!

  3. Notes • Inquisition: The persecution, torture, and death of people due to their religion practice of Protestantism or Judaism. The persecution of people who were not Catholic during the 1500’s.

  4. Inquisition Article • Ink-Think while you read the article: • UNDERLINE the important text • CIRCLE words you do not know • WRITE QUESTIONS you have about the text in the margins

  5. Chat with your group • Now, talk to your group! Can anyone explain the meaning of a word? Can anyone answer your question? • Use your RESOURCES (your group!) to help you understand the reading BETTER!!!

  6. Work with your group to answer the following questions: • 1. What was the point of torture? • 2. Do we still have torture today? If so, where? • 3. Could the Inquisition happen again today?
