  1. Talent 21 Project: Recycling By: Sylvia Ludwick Period:1 Mr. Aleszczyk

  2. Things I’m doing right Things I’m doing wrong I don’t take quick showers. I don’t bring bags to the store. • I don’t the water run when I brush my teeth. • I turn off inactive appliances and lights. • I keep the windows closed when the heat/ air conditioning is on. • I recycle products whenever possible. • I find new ways to reuse each item. • I put litter in trash containers. • I encourage carpooling. • I walk instead of asking for a ride. I am a Conservation Star

  3. Reduce-Lower your overall consumption. Buy less, more money.. Reuse-Find new ways to use trash items. Recycle-Recycle resources so trash can be disposed of in a environmentally friendly fashion. Rescue- Rescue wildlife habitats whenever you can. Join a beach rescue committee or help clean up oil spills. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Rescue

  4. Reduce By reducing the consumption of items, you can reduce the feeling of clutter in and around your home. Then, it would be less trash left to deteriorate, more money in your pocket, and again, less stuff cluttering up your life and that’s a very good thing!

  5. Reuse Reuse means to get find ways to reuse items, such as making a former 2 liter coke bottle into a decoration for your room, or turning a toilet paper roll with no paper on it anymore into a bird feeder.

  6. Put paper, plastic, and cardboard in the recycling can instead of the trash. It’s better than them landing up in a landfill. Recycle

  7. Rescue animals from human faults such as oil spills, or litter. Join a beach rescue committee, or just join a beach rescue. Do what you can to rescue wild animals from death, all because someone was lazy and littered. Rescue

  8. I can make a light. Or a Jack o’ Lantern for Halloween decorations. A pot for plants. What can I make out of a 2-liter Coke bottle?

  9. Pay attention to how you use water. Try to drink tap water instead of bottled water so you don’t waste all that packaging. Wash your clothes n warm water when you can.Every time you brush your teeth turn off the water. Got a leaky toilet? You could be losing 200 gallons of water each day you choose not to get it fixed. What can any common person do to help?

  10. Try to keep your car in the driveway about 2 days a week. If you can walk or bike to your school, do it. If not, you can always take a mass transit bus or carpool. Try to get all of your errands done in one trip. If you can hit the post office, the grocery store, and the shoe repair place all in one trip, that’s awesome. How can we make a difference? (cont.)

  11. According to a congress report in 1970 from the organization “Conservervatree,” you would save 17 trees by recycling exactly a ton of paper. How many trees would it save if I recycled a ton of paper?

  12. We could save 250000000 trees a YEAR! How many forests will be saved if we recycled half of the world’s paper?

  13. Thanks for Watching! Now go save the Earth.
