  5. Students earn credit incareer related courses to ensure graduation Credit Recovery

  6. GEDO #2 GED based Required career class Work component

  7. Knight Program • Basic Skills diploma • Offered during the evening • Work component

  8. Day Program Coursework includes: Career Assessment Unpaid Work Apprenticeship Independent Living

  9. Whatever the program….. Students graduate with a regular high school diploma

  11. Wisconsin Education Fair Local artists share expertise UWRF Health Fair

  12. Computer Programming/ Game Design Home Improvement

  13. Mixed Media Stained Glass Team Building

  14. Renaissance Woodworking Profits from the program have allowed Renaissance to recoup at least 50% of our cost center deficit each year

  15. Parent Night Speakers cover topics about careers, colleges, work, and family issues

  16. Field Trips Efforts are made to provide students with experiences that help them make educated career choices

  17. Model United Nations Students can join the YMCA’s Youth In Government program and attend local conferences

  18. Restorative Justice Circles provide a safe place for students to discuss issues, solve problems, develop leadership skills, and learn how to communicate more effectively

  19. Giving Back to the Community Rotary Book Drive Broomstick Gala

  20. A partnership with local colleges provides transfer classes at an affordable rate

  21. Students with IEP’s are not excluded from Renaissance as long as their needs can be met and the student wants to succeed

  22. On Average- 60% qualify for free/reduced lunch 22% qualify as homeless

  23. Renaissance maintains a student/teacher classroom ratio of 12:1

  24. Classrooms are staffed with state licensed educators, including theAlternative Education 952 license

  25. The program has graduated over 300 students since its inception
