Technology • SLES is severely short of laptops and many that we have on hand are in poor condition • Technology Committee recommendation: The SLES PTA Technology Committee recommends that the SLES PTA purchase 22 Dell 3330 laptops at the price of $575 through Fairfax County. These laptops would be for the benefit of the students and used by the SLES faculty and students. (22 laptops x $575= $12,650) The SLES PTA Technology Committee suggests that the remaining funds ($3,350) be reserved for the future purchase of technology for the school as seen fit by the Tech committee per the approval of the SLES PTA.

  5. Technology Proposal Up for Vote • The PTA Board recommends spending the remaining $16K from Rock ‘n Run proceeds on 26 units of the Dell Latitude E3330 model laptops. (This is not quite enough to replace 2 16-unit carts.  Another $3200 would allow us to replace 2 full carts.) Included in the $600 price is a base school image with Windows 7 Professional loaded, a power cord, an integrated 720p HD video webcam, and 3 years of basic hardware service + 3 year limited off site customer service after remote diagnosis.
