The Report of the FinnishGovernment on the national implementation of the 2030 Agenda, February 2017 Chapter 4 – Follow-up and review of implementation • Creates a linkagebetweenfollow-up & review and centralinstitutions & procedures of the Finnishpoliticalsystem • Strengthens the accountability of the Government and the role of Parliament in thefollow-up and review • Systematizes national follow-up and reviewprocedures • Enables the participation of stakeholders in follow-up and review

Action point 4.2 of the Government Report The existing collection of sustainable development indicators will be updated under the leadership of the Prime Minister’s Office, to ensure that they meet the follow-up requirements of Society’s Commitment to Sustainable Development, the national implementation of the 2030 Agenda, and this implementation plan. Arrangements for a system that permits the multi-voiced interpretation of indicator data will be made in connection with the update.
