  2. Outline • Issues in version -03 from other reviewers • Major changes from version 02 • Next Step draft-baker-diffserv-basic-classes-03

  3. Issues from other reviewers • Add statement to section 1 to clarify that four AF and one EF standardized code point was arbitrary. The DiffServ Architecture allows any reasonable number of AF and EF PHBs … • Resolution: Agreed • Almost all the MUSTs in the document should be SHOULDs. Except for the MUST that refer to the musts in DiffServ PHB RFCs. • Resolution: Agreed, will review the usage of MUST/SHOULD in the document and revise according. draft-baker-diffserv-basic-classes-03

  4. Major Changes from version 02 • Section 1 restructured for better flow. • Section 2, 3, 4 reworded to reflect single PHB (or PHB group) per service class. • Added Signaling, Real-time Interactive, Broadcast Video, and OAM service classes. • Added Figure 1 to indicate the traffic behavior characteristic of each service class. draft-baker-diffserv-basic-classes-03

  5. Next Steps • Based on result of Reviewer and Co-Author offline meetings here in San Diego • generate an open issues list, • generate a new version of draft that resolves these issues, • maintain the open issues list. • Request for indication of maturity of draft and setup some schedule for completion. draft-baker-diffserv-basic-classes-03
