  5. The sacrament of Priesthood was instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ when He appointed the 12 disciples and the 70 apostles and sent them to preach two by two.

  6. He gave them the authority to teach the people and perform the sacraments They preached Christianity to the whole world

  7. They then ordained bishops and priests to serve in the cities where they preached. They also ordained deacons, like the seven deacons in Acts 6:2-3.

  9. The Order of Bishops Patriarch (Pope) The Patriarch is the highest rank in the Bishopric level and has the authority to ordain all ranks of Priesthood. He also has the responsibility of making the Holy Oil (Myroon).
