  2. Definition mobility budget is a personal budget, in money or in credits, that is equal with the travel, facility and or sustainability costs (of the employer).

  4. Definition mobility budget is a personal budget, in money or in credits, that is equal with the travel, facility and or sustainability costs (of the employer). Employees have their own responsibility in spending their budget and the employer is able to perform his mobility policy: For example: • Parking problem can be equally shared amongst all employees and visitors • Employees are rewarded for sustainable travel • By making a choice every day, smart traveling is promoted.

  6. How does it work • Employees get a budget that is equal to their company car/public transport. There is regulation to try to change behavior. • Employees get a budget that is equal to the policy of the company, starting with a parking budget

  7. Effects • Employees choose smaller cars =>Less parking m2 • More cycling and Public transport because of savings • Up to 30% more parking efficiency • Demand for distance parking • Better use of facilities (P+R)

BUPP • Software which controls the budget en the management of the mobility facilities, for; • Commuter traffic; • Business facilities like company bikes, shared cars, visitor parking et cetera; • Providing E-ticketing: or upgrade company card • Providing actual managing information • !! Behavior change by reservation of the journey

  10. Steps • Start with parking budget; • Focuses on parking problem • Creates savings for company => investments in alternatives Business case: car commuter pays with parking for the non-car commuter.
