  3. Setup Menu • Some options on this menu lead to setup package menus, such as consults, reminders, and order menus. • Other options on this menu lead to parameter setup, such as encounter context configuration or vital measurement configuration.

  4. Setup Menus – Text Integration Utility (TIU) • TIU is a separate package and can also be used at sites not using the EHR. These menus are under the TIU menu. • TIU Menu for Clinicians. Clinical Application Coordinators (CACs) should have this menu • TIU Menu for Medical Records. CAC configuration and setup is done here

Setup Menus –Health Summary • The RPT option sets up all reports • Health Summary configuration leads to menus • IHS Health Summary Configuration. • This is the menu for the IHS health summary • Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Health Summary Configuration • This is the menu for the Veterans Administration (VA) health summary • Last TIU patch renamed the VA Health Summary Type. You will need the file number (142) when you want to inquire on the IEN number of VA Health Summary.

  14. Later Setup • After the initial setup, other items will be added as needed. These items are not required for the system to run, but will certainly make the system more usable and friendly.

  16. Templates • Templates created in the HER GUI • Templates can be imported from other EHR or VA sites • Create templates for each service before they go live

  17. Quick Orders • Can make quick orders in the EHR or Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS) • Make orders for each service as they go live • Add orders to menus designed for services

  18. Team Management • Teams are groupings of patients, providers, or both • Teams useful for consults and notifications • Autolinked teams useful for inpatients

  19. PCC Setup • Pick Lists • Super Bills • Education Pick Lists • Associations

  20. Consults • Meet with services that wish to use consults • Create the Team of users for each Consult • Set up the Consult in RPMS • Create the Progress Note title to complete the Consult • Make Templates if desired • Create Quick Order for Consult

  21. Clinical Reminders • National Clinical Reminders are loaded through patches • Sites can create their own reminders as well • Sites can also create reminder dialogs not attached to reminders as progress note templates.
