Workshop Objectives • Upon completion of this workshop you will be able to: • Identify the Educator’s Dashboard and how to navigate the different areas of EXCEED® • Add and manage student Intervention Plans • Monitor progress toward goals • Practice delivering segments of EXCEED RTI in small groups • Discuss your staff presentations

Workshop Agenda • Day One • Dashboard/Navigation • Reviewing Student Data • Adding an Intervention Plan • Progress Monitoring • Educator’s Workshop • Teachers will create Intervention Plans in small groups & share out learning experiences • Teachers will take turns practicing in small groups, entering scores and progress monitoring • Teachers will practice delivering the entire process of creating interventions, adding scores and progress monitoring

  8. EXCEED RTI – Let’s get started! • Please log in using the URL on your name tent. • Please use the username and password assigned for this workshop. • The password is case sensitive. • You can’t click the Login button until the login screen has finished loading.

  15. The Student List • Click the Student List dropdown button to see a list of system generated filters. • The default list includes students in All Classes (your classes).

  16. Searching for a Student Educator Search for a Student • Click the Search dropdown button • Enter name (last, first – at least 2 characters) or Student ID • Click Search

  18. Adding an Intervention Plan

  19. Adding an Intervention Plan • Intervention plans are associated with students, so the first step is to select a student’s name from your student list. Hover over a student’s name. Click the Student Option button (blue gear). Select Add Plan from the menu.

  20. Adding a Plan Once you have selected Add Plan, the Plan Details tab displays. Select the appropriate domain. Name the Plan. Select the appropriate tier. Give the Plan a start date and duration. • The targeted end date will populate based on the start data and duration. • Assign the responsible staff. • 8. Save the Plan.

  21. Adding a Plan – Select Goals • The Plan screen displays with the Select Goals tab selected. Here you’ll select a goal from the goal bank, identify the grade level, select an area of concern, and identify plan goals. Once you have saved your Plan, you will be placed on the Select Goals tab. Select the appropriate Goal Bank. Select the appropriate Area of Concern. Select the appropriate goal from the search results panel. • The Selected Goals will populate in the Selected Goals panel. • Click Add Selected Goals.

  22. Adding a Plan – Plan Goals • The screen automatically displays with the Plan Goals tab selected. The Plan Goals you selected on the Select Goals tab is displayed in the Plan Goals panel. Select the Goal. Details of the goal will appear in the Goal panel. Place savers will allow you to fill in appropriate student information. Enter the baseline and target information in the boxes provided. Activate progress monitoring. Select the frequency and days progress monitoring will take place. Enter baseline narrative. Save the Goal.

  23. Adding a Plan – Interventions • The Interventions tab displays with Intervention Selector, Selected Interventions, and Intervention Details panels. Once you select Add Intervention, you must specify if the intervention is Individual or Custom. Select Add Intervention Click on Individual Select the Area of Concern. Select the Intervention that is appropriate for the student. The details of the intervention will populate in the Intervention Details panel. Set up a Start Time. Select the frequency you will schedule the Intervention. Select the frequency you will log the Intervention Save the Intervention

  24. Adding a Custom Intervention Select Add Intervention. Click on Individual Select the Area of Concern. Select the Intervention that is appropriate for the student. The details of the intervention will populate in the Intervention Details panel. Set up a Start Time. Select the frequency you will schedule the Intervention. Select the frequency you will log the Intervention Save the Intervention

  25. Adding a Plan – Rate & End Plan • When the plan is complete, or you want to end the plan, use the rating system below. One star is poor, and five stars is excellent. Click Yes if the plan was successful, and No if not. Select a star to rate the plan’s effectiveness. Select a star to rate the plan’s fidelity. Enter your comments. Click End Plan.

  26. ACTIVITY:Add an Intervention Plan • Use student #2. • Select Tier 2 from the list. • Complete all the tabs. • Use a date one month ago (so you can enter scores and see the graph). • Do not Rate and End the Plan.

  30. Progress Monitoring – Dashboard • Once you have added a plan, you will want to monitor the student’s progress towards the goal established in the plan. Open the Progress Monitoring panel. Click on a Student Name. Select a Date. Enter the Score. Select Not Tested (if absent). Click Save.

  31. Progress Monitoring – Student Options Menu Hover over the student’s name. Click on the Student Options Menu. Select Add Scores/Progress. Click on a Domain entry. Select a Date. Enter the Score. Select Not Tested (if absent). Click Save.

  32. Monitoring • The monitoring portion of the student profile lets you view a graphical or tabular representation of the student’s progress as well as a list of interventions. • Data comes from the scores entered by teachers monitoring the student’s progress. Select a student name. Click on Monitoring. Click the Measure Goal dropdown and select a goal.

  33. Monitoring (Cont’d) • A graph of the student’s progress displays. Hover over the legend to highlight scores, Aimline, and Project Growth paths. Hover over a score point to display details about the score. Click the Data button to see the data in spreadsheet format. Click the Intervention Details tab to for additional information about the goal. Click the Add Score button to add a score directly from this screen.

  34. Accessing Progress Monitoring from Dashboard Click on the Dashboard. Click on Refresh to access All Classes. Now, All Classes list is displayed. Click on the name of a student to access Student Profile information and the Navigation panel. Click the Monitoring tab to review student progress.
