  1. www.banner.usu.edu DegreeWorks works best in explorer. You can use either USU Access. (Both will get you into Banner)

  2. After you have logged in you will be at the main screen for your information. Click on the Student tab first Then click on Student Records

  3. Click DegreeWorks

  4. This is the main screen in DegreeWorks. You should see all of your classes listed with grades and each semester taken at the bottom. You won’t do anything in the main screen. You will be working in the Planner section.

  5. Click the Planner tab. This page will also show your classes with grades and the semester they were taken. (Left side of screen) All classes with grades (if available)

  6. (Right side of the screen) STEP 1: Name your plan: MA/MS, Plan A or B, and your specialization

  7. (Still on right side of the screen) Select the term according your classes you have taken. (Those are on the right side of the screen) These must stay in ascending order. The system will not allow for out of order semesters. Scroll down to get more space to enter in all semesters.

  8. Enter in a class even if you are not sure it is being taught for future semesters. You must press enter after entering your class!! Duplicate classes are ok as long as they are approved by the GPC Course Name: example: ENGL 6900 Credits Make sure this matches up with your program/plan requirements!

  9. Once you have clicked save, you will need to email Evelyn Funda to let her know this is the plan you have discussed and had approved with your committee.
