Engineering Projects • Resources Certification (RPKI) • In Coordination with other RIRs • Beta RPKI system for members to be launched at LACNIC XIII DNS Platform Upgrade / DNSSEC deployment • Getting ready for DNSSEC deployment. • Already signed lacnic.org and programafrida.org domainsGetting ready for larger amount or requests • New Registry System (EPP) • Additional method to submit information to LACNIC • LACNIC provides some development libraries • NIRs

AMPARO Project • Provides training and promotes the creation of Computer Security Incident Response Teams (CSIRTs) • Partners: LACNIC and IDRC (Canada) • Activities: • To develop training materials (Creation and Management of CSIRT) • Training of trainers • Training of technicians • To promote Research and identification of BPM • Feasibility study for a Regional CERT • 2 workshops already organized this year. • Montevideo, February • Quito, March www.proyectoamparo.net/en

Public affairs • As member of CITEL (Org. of American States) we organized a workshop on “Interconnection at low cost” (Bariloche, Sep. ’09) • IGF – Egypt : 2 workshops organized • “Managing Internet Addresses” • “Public policies for interconnection at low cost” • eLAC2010 – update of the regional plan for Information Society development • LACNIC GWG – • representatives from 21 governments • 3rd in Curaçao

  10. +RAICES Project 2009 – 6th in Sint Maarten, Netherlands Antilles, July 9, 2009. 2010 step: - 7th copy in Haiti. Agreement to be signed in Curaçao.
