  2. Habitat • Monkeys live in trees in the wild. • They live in Asia, Africa and in the rainforests. • Baboons live in troops on ground.

  3. Diet • Monkeys eat plants or fruit on land or ground. • Monkeys can also eat flowers.

Physical Characteristics • Monkeys are furry and have tails. • Monkeys can be orange like an orangutan they can be brown or black. • Monkeys have similar characteristics to people. • Monkeys have hands and feet just like people. They don’t have paws like dogs or cats. • Baby monkeys cling on to the adult Monkeys back. • The female washes their baby instead of the male.

  5. Interesting Facts • A mandrill and baboons are the largest monkeys. • Proboscis monkeys communicate by making a honk sound from their incredibly large noses.
