  3. Modularity-driven testing The test script will be modularized to create small, independent functions that represent modules/components of AUT. These small scripts are then called in a workflow to construct larger tests. Job Oriented QTP/UFT Training

QTP Modular Framework Advantages a) Script development takes less time as we are creating re-usable functions and calling them wherever required in the scripts. b) Script maintenance is relatively less because the re-usable code is available at a single place only no matter where those functions are used. If there is a change in any functionality, you need to be required to make the changes at only one place. Disadvantages a) Understanding reusable components : spent more time in analyzing the test cases to find out the reusable components. b) Testers need more technical expertise in automation to work on reusable components. c) Data is hard coded in the script.
