  2. TECH TIPS – DISK CLEANUP Is your computer running slowly? Are screens timing out or do they just continually say loading? Try some basic computer maintenance to speed up your computer. Run a disk clean up once a month to keep your computer running smoothly. :)

  3. TECH TIPS – VIRUSES A virus can affect the performance of your computer. It can slow your computer down, or delete your files. Make sure to scan your computer often. The suggestion would be to scan weekly. However, if you feel the need or your computer is slowing down, scan that day. Here is one program that is free: http://free.avg.com/us-en/homepage

  4. TECH TIPS – CRASHES Sometimes your computer will crash. You can try to minimize the problem by limiting the amount of programs you have open. When working on a tech elective assignment, the programs are known as “memory suckers.” This means they tend to need more memory to run, usually taking memory away from other programs. This is what causes the computer to “crash.” To avoid this, you should close any programs that you are not using. This will free up memory.
