The main success of the Platform during 2004 • Continued form of operation – an informal network • Improving partner relations with the MFA • A few funding applications submitted and approved: for capacity-building: - CIDA/ODACE - Baltic-American Partnership Program - Open Estonia Foundation for awareness raising: - Fair Trade (Estonian Green Movement/FoE) - Eastgate (Estonian European Movement) - Terveilm (Estonian Fund for Nature)

  3. Main challenges facing AKÜ during 2005 • Financial sustainability • Institutionalization • Professionalization

  4. Financial sustainability • Very difficult to receive an institutional support • Project based support is short-term and limited • Member organizations not (yet) ready to contribute
