  2. Why is the Internet so addicting? • Most teens now-a-days use the Internet daily. • They are surrounded by it. • Ex. • Phones Ipods • Computers Laptops • But what is so addicting about it?

  3. The addicting part of it… • Most teens have to use the Internet for class projects. • But after school is the addicting part… • Almost every teen uses one of the following websites: • Facebook • Myspace • Twitter • YouTube

  4. Facebook • Facebook is a site where you can: • Chat & message friends • Post photos of themselves • Update a “status” & comment and “like” on others • Play games • Create your own profile & look at others • Add others as friends

  5. Doesn’t sound much fun, does it? • You really can’t tell what the “addicting” part is but.. • Teens spend so much time on Facebook that they start to miss out on real life

  6. Myspace • Myspace is “old news” • This is a social networking site, like Facebook • It used to be a very unsafe site • But now that it is safer.. • No teens go on it • That’s why it is the “old” site

  7. Why is it the “old” site? • You can actually have more personality on Myspace • Such as… • Design your own profile! • Edit your photos on Myspace • Yourmore“free”!

  8. Twitter • On this site you can… • “Tweet” • “Follow others” • Post Pictures • Make your own profile! • This is also a social networking site

  9. The popularity of twitter… • Twitter has became a popular site lately • This is how regular people know what’s going on in famous peoples lives • Twitter has became almost as popular as Facebook

  10. What’s so bad about this? • This is bad because teens are getting zoned-out of real life because of the Internet. • One of the many reasons is because it is available 24/7 • Teens claim that they have nothing else to do. • They are addicted to electronics.
