  2. Where was I born I was born in Suva, it is in Fiji. Suva is the capital of Fiji, we have two islands. One is Viti Levu and the other one is Vanua Levu. Suva is in Viti Levu. No body knows why we have two islands. There are heaps of places where people in Fiji live. Now I live in New Zealand, Rotorua. Rotorua is a beautiful place.

  3. About my Flag This light blue base represents the Pacific Ocean and the Union Jack represents the country's links to Britain. In the centre of the right side of the Fiji flag is the country's coat of arms, with three sugar canes, a coconut palm, a dove with an olive branch which represents peace and a bunch of bananas, with a lion holding a peeled coconut. The golden lion represents Britain.

My mum (Fiji) My dad (Fiji) My grandfather (Fiji) My grandmother (Fiji) My great grandfather (Fiji) My great grandmother (Fiji) My great great grandmother (India) My great great grandfather (India) What I like to play: I like playing Dodge ball, Soccer, Basketball, Netball, Volley ball, Tag and Sea Weed. Tag is a chasing game. Sea weed is the same as Tag.

  5. MY SPECIAL OCCASIONS • We celebrate Diwali for festivals. Diwali is also celebrated as public holiday in Fiji. • Holi is another one we celebrate however we don’t have public holiday on Holi. But the school people have a day off to celebrate Holi. • Everyone one in Fiji celebrates Boxing Day, Christmas and Hibiscus/ Carnival. • We have aPublic Holiday on Boxing Day and on Christmas day. • The Hibiscus/Carnival starts in School Holiday.

  6. What I Wear at School • This is my school P.E uniform. We wear them when we go out for a game or for fitness. We wear them so we can run and do heaps of long jumps. • This is my actual school uniform. Grey shirt and black skirt the boys have black shorts and grey shirt. Some girls wear shorts. At home I wear jeans and t-shirts and jackets at winter. In summer I wear a dress, skirts and t- shirts. P.E Uniform. Formal Uniform

  7. What we wear for special occasions We wear this on special occasion. This is a Salwar Kamez . Salwar Kamez is a dress and long pant. And some girls wear saree too. This is called saree. Saree is an unstitched piece of cloth that women’s wear. There are plenty of ways to wear a saree.

  8. Foods I Eat At School And At Home • At home I eat butter chicken, crab curries, roti( flat bread), fish curries, prawns, rice, spicy chicken curry, paratha( is like a flat bread but it has a filling of potato and onion. • The food I eat at school is noodles, garlic breads, chips, yogurt, hash brown, spring rolls and lollies.

  9. What we play on special occasions Dholak is most popular instrument in India. We see every house is having Dholak and played on some happy festive occasions. Generally ladies gathered and sing songs like Bhajans (Music for God), Film Songs, Mehandi Songs (Wedding Songs), Dance Songs and etc. Only few ladies are perfect to play and match the tune with the song. Matching the tune with the song's mood and timing is necessary for any striking instrument. Even boys and man play Dholak their style of playing Dholak is different than ladies style. Ladies style Dholak has some simple beats. But boys in India and in Fiji have variety of Taals (tune) which is not seen in foreign country.

  10. National Dish. On special occasion we eat Kheer (Kheer is made out of Rice, Milk and Dry Fruits). I love to eat My favourite one is Ladoo( Ladoo is a like round ball which taste sweet and they are heaps of ways you can make them). There are more than two. But these two are my favourite ones.

  11. Fun Fact About Fiji Everyone in Fiji believes that if a coconut fall on you, it means bad luck. Coconuts: The fruit used to be a major part of Fiji’s economy. It was so important it got on the flag! Bananas: These grow everywhere in Fiji. The bananas that grow in Fiji are very sweet. They are also bright and yellow. Sugar cane: Sugar Cane is Fiji’s leading export. That means they grow a lot of it! Many Fijians work in the Sugar Cane Industry. The dove: This represents peace. The lion: The lion represents Britain. If you look closely, its holding a coconut! They sure do love their coconuts.
