  6. PROGRAMS AND SERVICES Recreation and Enrichment Latchkey Child Care Fab 4’s (GSRP)

  7. GSRP Fab 4’s Program Home based intervention for at risk 4 year olds. Provides parents and children with strategies and techniques to prepare for success in school.

PROGRAMS AND SERVICES Adult Education Serving over 100 students ABE/GED Classes Official GED Test Center Proud partner in NWLB demonstration grant, providing wrap-around service for adult learners and seamless transitions as they progress to training and employment. Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) 600+ volunteers serve 102 sites county wide Intergenerational projects with youth Community Service

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) • Coordinated through RSVP, in partnership with the Monroe County Court System • 30 CASA workers served 84 children who are in the court system because of abuse or neglect, spending over 2000 volunteer hours in direct service to the children. • Two of our CASAs have been honored as ‘Advocate of the Year’ by the State of Michigan

  11. Bedford Senior CenterCelebrating 40 years of service to the senior community! Full service center provides programs and activities for 800+ members

  12. Our talented kitchen staff prepare and serve over 30,000 meals each year, including 75-80 home delivered meals a day. (Over 17,000 home delivered meals annually.)A full array of activities keep the seniors busy, active and engaged.

  13. Recreation and Enrichment ClassesYouth and Adults of all Ages Learn, Create, Activate, Engage, Have Fun Over 4,000 participants per session

  15. MAKING A DIFFERENCE Over 10,000 participants annually Over 1,500 volunteers annually including 600+ RSVP volunteers, donate over 80,000 volunteer hours per year. Over 30,000 meals served each year at Bedford Senior Center, with 17,000 meals a year going out for the Meals on Wheels program, (Delivered by RSVP volunteers), including holidays. RSVP volunteers collate nearly ¼ million sheets of paper in preparation for the start of school each year Over 3,567 rides on the Health Vans (6 vans, 6 drivers, 365 days per year)

MAKING A DIFFERENCE RSVP and Bedford Goodfellows distribute over 250 meals at Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and Easter Over 400 children attend the child care center, and latchkey before and after school, and summers, meeting the needs of our working families. 500+ youth complete Driver Education each year. Over 900 youth and adults complete the Michigan Road Skills Test. Coordinated services for the adult learner through partnerships with Michigan Works, Monroe County Community College, and others, to provide a seamless transition from education, through employment skills, to job training, and, ultimately, to successfully entry to the workforce.
