  3. Stage • Instantaneous • Usually checked for a few short (A few weeks) but distinctly different flow periods • Check for Phase & Amplitude • Be aware of Datum issues!

  4. Flow • Instantaneous Check for amplitude, phase and magnitude Large errors may imply lack of accuracy in geometry (Usually checked for a few short distinct periods) • Tidal average Can be checked for a longer period Accuracy maybe an issue when net flows are small compared to tidal flows

  7. Water Quality (EC) • Primary focus on tidal day averages only • Dry periods provide the most interesting analysis (ocean salinity intrusion) • Errors in “net Delta outflow” estimates may lead to significant errors in EC estimates
