  4. Where long ago a yellow crane bore a sage to heaven, Nothing is left now but the Yellow Crane Terrace.

  5. The yellow crane never revisited earth, And white clouds are flying without him for ever.

  6. Every tree in Hanyang becomes clear in the water, And Parrot Island is a nest of sweet grasses;

  7. But I look toward home, and twilight grows dark With a mist of grief on the river waves.

  10. Inner Emotions Analysis Sentence1:There is a distance between inner expectations and reality. It’s natural for the author to be sad when he is away from home. Sentence2:Observing his surroundings– the river, sky and clouds, the author feels free like a bird flying through the sky. He reflects that everything can change except for feelings of homesickness. Sentence3:The trees and the island personify human emotions. The author is comforted by his connection with nature. The author has reached a higher level of consciousness. Sentence4:As the sun sets the darkness returns and the author is again filled with grief and uncertainty.
