  1. Polynesian Weddings By : Gladys (:

  2. General Country Info . Polynesia is made up of over 1,000 islands scattered over the central and southern Pacific Ocean . The Population is 194,320 people . Largest city would be Apia .

  3. Traditional customs The wedding, vows renewal or marriage anniversary is celebrated by a priest, with no official power. The priest is dressed in an elegant traditional costume. Polynesian dancers and musicians are normally part of the ceremony (“traditional” wedding), unless the couple prefers to have the priest and one musician only (“simple” wedding), or the priest only (“intimate” wedding). • The celebration, inspired by the way local Tahitians have married for centuries, retains the singing, dancing, lore and unique traditions that have made it popular over the past decade with couples celebrating an anniversary or vow renewal and even with honeymooners who enjoy saying "I do" all over again just a few days after their stateside ceremony for an exotic and romantic Tahitian memory.

  4. Who takes part in the ceremony? • In The Polynesian weddings only Family And Really Close Friends are invited .Relatives or friends offer a ‘Bonzai’ toasts to the bride and groom, wishing them long life

  5. Bride Attire • The bride's pareu is tied in a halter style; some resorts offer a coconut-shell top option with the pareu tied around the hips. Both the bride and groom are adorned with floral crowns and leis. Some resorts start the couple in feathered headdresses and switch to floral crowns and leis during the vows.

  6. Groom Attire . Groom in traditional white pareus (sarongs). The groom is typically bare-chested and often a traditional Tahitian tattoo will be painted on his arm or shoulder . Groom and the bride both wear a Floral crown .

  7. Attendant attire Unique and elegant, the long Na'niLo'a Hawaiian dress is true to its name. The special cut gives the dress a slight stretch . This Dress Is Perfect for beach weeding's out door and since its opened from the bottom and its hot there in Polynesia till be perfect . The groom wears a colored sash around his waist.

  8. Other Info . When the wind stirs at your wedding, it’s the presence of your “Ohana”, (family), that Past Away . They are surrounding you with love and their blessing of the union. It’s customary for the bride to fold a 1001 paper cranes for good luck and a long life together. Ceremony takes place on the beach, surrounded by tiki torches, musicians, and dancers.  The bride and groom dress in wedding pareos, which consist of a single piece of cloth wrapped around the body.

  9. Differences ? This Is different From the us because the weddings they have a different religion and different beliefs . The People Eat Differently too . Her We don’t Have the View That they do or anything like that they are right next to the ocean and the beach and we don’t . They See That IF You do this its good luck when we belief in different things.
