  2. What is Anorexia Nervosa? Anorexia nervosa is a disease that causes you to have an intense fear of gaining weight , people with this disease severely limit the amount of food they eat and become extremely skinny to the point of seeing their bones !

  7. If anyone in your family has or had anorexia or bulimia • If you have a stressful job or are involved in a stressful sport • If you’re basically a perfectionist • Or if you’re going through many stressful life events

  9. Weighing much less than is healthy or normal • If you’re afraid of gaining weight • If you think you’re overweight even when you’re very thin • Obsess over food, weight and dieting • If you vomit or use laxatives excessively • Over exercising

  11. The most common treatment is psychotherapy. In most cases of anorexia nervosa, most people are ashamed, in denial, or have a lack of insight towards anorexia nervosa • Another treatment is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It helps patients understand that their thinking is not okay and very negative towards their mind and body

  12. The best way to manage staying healthy after being diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa is staying hospitalized until you are mentally and physically stable to take care of yourself on your own.
